Palin Insists She Visited Iraq: “Had a SUPER FUN TIME, Too!”

Gov. Palin visiting troops in Iraq.

Although Sarah Palin made a well-documented trip to Kuwait and Germany last year to visit U.S. troops, there is no evidence that she ever visited U.S. troops in Iraq in July of last year, as she has claimed on numerous occasions.

Her staff recently admitted that Palin might have confused a trip to Iraq with a trip to Mexico she made last summer, but Palin denies any mix-up.

“I visited our troops in Iraq last July, and that’s a gosh-darn fact,” Palin told reporters this morning. “And my gosh, I can tell you the surge is definitely working. I felt completely safe everywhere I went – the people were friendly – the service was wonderful – the beaches were gorgeous, and I had something called a ‘margarita’—which was fantastic. I’m looking forward to going back to Iraq next summer, I can tell you.”

During her meeting with reporters Palin also took time to cite the ‘growing problem of illegal aliens’ she witnessed during her trip. “I was shocked to see so many Mexicans in Iraq, taking jobs that should be going to U.S. no-bid contractors. If I and John McCain are elected, we will propose building a wall around Iraq to that nonsense.”

Palin also said she was pround to have stayed at “Fort Cabo San Lucas” while in Iraq, “So I could be among the regular army folks.”
